Ads on the DEALER AD EXCHANGE are now FREE. Ad size has been reduced from 200 to 100 words, but you now get one ad for EACH product or service you offer. Ads for "programs" are no longer accepted. If you submitted a program ad, replace it with a product or service ad. See the Dealer Ad Exchange page for details. Ads stay in the DAX rotation for the life of this journal.

03-16-2025 - I pulled down my car's sun visor today to block some sunlight. Noticing the lighted mirror on my side—the driver's side—I thought back to the days when only the passenger side visor had a mirror. There were no lighted mirrors back in those days—at least in cheap cars—and maybe no mirrors back in the older days. I guess early on, the man was expected to drive, and the woman was expected to enjoy the ride and maybe put on makeup.

03-16-2025 - One disadvantage of those simple "paper passing" programs is the ease of hijacking advertising circulars. By "paper passing," I'm referring to these ads of various sizes that ask for money, and when you order, all you get is a copy of the ad that you can send out to ask other people to send you money. There's usually no product associated with the deal. People hijack this type of sales material by simply placing their name over whatever name is there and mailing it out. After all, there's no product to ship other than the ad itself. How does the buyer know whether the circular or ad has been hijacked? While you can hijack a circular that sells something, the hijacker won't get away with that scam for long. Should we all find something more substantial?

03-16-2025 - Tip: Never run from a vicious dog. You'll only deplete the energy you'll need to fight that dog once it catches you. Carry dog "attitude adjustment" items of your choosing while walking or cycling. Mine makes a lot of noise.

03-16-2025 - I finished addressing the postcards I mentioned in the previous post. I even decorated them with a "Happy Mail" rubber stamp! I'm out of postcard stamps, so I'll get some tomorrow, affix them in the parking lot, and drop the cards in the mailbox. On an unrelated matter, I binged the second season of The Recruit yesterday evening. It was a pretty good series.
